WASHINGTON (AP) -- Nearly 40 percent of NFL players last season wore a helmet model that got the second-lowest rating for reducing the risk of concussions in a study by Virginia Tech researchers.

Scott Brooks kept telling his Oklahoma City Thunder they needed to hang on for just five more minutes. And, five more minutes. Finally for one last time, five more minutes. That's when Kevin Durant scored six of his 35 points in the third overtime, and the Thunder survived a thriller in holding off the Memphis Grizzlies 133-123 in a game that ended Tuesday morning.

Riddell's VSR-4 helmet received just one star in a study of football helmets led by Virginia Tech professor of biomedical engineering Stefan Duma and released Tuesday.

The Vancouver Canucks have had plenty of practice this postseason when given the chance to eliminate an opponent. They finally found a way to make it look easy. Daniel Sedin and Mason Raymond scored first-period goals, and Roberto Luongo made 23 saves as the Canucks beat the Nashville Predators 2-1 in Game 6 to advance to the Western Conference finals on Monday night.
